A pedestrian was hospitalized in critical condition Monday after a vehicle ran a red light, causing a crash, and pinned the person against a building on Chicago’s South Side.

Police are investigating a shooting that occurred near a gas station in Grand Crossing Saturday.

An Oswego man has been charged with fatally shooting a 44-year-old man in Grand Crossing in July.

Chicago police said the teen was identified as the suspect who took a vehicle by force from a 38-year-old delivery driver on Sept. 9.

At least two suspects entered a commercial business. One of the offenders produced a handgun and fired shots, striking a 24-year-old man. One of the offenders was also shot and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

CTA BUS SHOOTOUT: The victim was on a CTA bus when an unknown man attempted to rob him at gunpoint. The victim pulled out his handgun and fired shots at the offender. The offender also fired shots at the victim and struck the victim in the chest.

Police said that one of the robbers was wearing a white sweatshirt with a red teddy bear on the front.

Three people were killed, and five others were wounded, in shootings Tuesday in Chicago, including a man who was shot and killed during an attempted robbery in Hyde Park, a few blocks north of the University of Chicago campus.

A 34-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were getting into their vehicle when two to three male offenders exited an unknown vehicle and fired shots at the victims.

Victor Norris allegedly shot and wounded a 34-year-old man in the 5800 block of South Columbia Drive.

A 33-year-old male witness was in a vehicle with the baby when he noticed the baby was unresponsive, police said.

An autopsy report released Tuesday said she died of injuries from child abuse and ruled her death a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said.
