The family of a U.S. Marine killed in Boston is planning to file to a civil lawsuit against the employer of the man accused in his death.

Surveillance video shows Daniel Martinez defending himself, raising his hand and crashing an aluminum beer bottle over the bouncer’s head, prosecutors said. Alvaro Larrama allegedly stabbed Martinez once in his chest.

Daniel Martinez, 23, was found by Boston police with a stab wound. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
