Suburban shelter dog Rennie hopes for a second chance

A year and a half ago, Rennie arrived at the West Suburban Humane Society and even as a long-time volunteer, FOX 32's Scott Schneider said he was a bit intimidated by the cropped ears and the imposing head. But, as he got to know him on their long walks together, he came to appreciate his gentle spirit and easy going demeanor. Sadly, 18 months later he’s still waiting on someone to take a chance on a breed that is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

UAW strike expands to two suburban auto parts plants

The UAW strike has grown to 38 plants in 20 states, including two close to home. GM and Stellantis plants in Naperville and Bolingbrook were called on by the union president Friday and workers walked off around noon.
