US military members honored nationwide on Veterans Day

Chicago leaders joined the nation in thanking all the men and women who have served their country. Governor J.B. Pritzker and Mayor Brandon Johnson honored local veterans at Soldier Field, while President Joe Bidena and VP Kamala Harris attended a ceremony in Arlington, Virginia.

He may have started his professional life as a nurse, but a couple of hilarious viral videos helped turn him into one of the most popular comedians touring the country. Nurse Blake's Shock Advised tour will be at the Rialto Square Theater tonight in Joliet.

Behind the scenes at Russell Military Museum

The Russell Military Museum in Zion began as a private collection in the '70s and has since expanded to fill a 10,000-square-foot space with artifacts dating back to WWI. The museum also displays 500 vehicles from trucks to tanks.

Pug Pal Project inspires north suburban first-graders

First-grade teacher Sharon Latek started the Pug Pal Project a year ago at Wescott Elementary School and it has since expanded to include 250 pugs worldwide. Students work on their communication skills by writing letters to pugs around the world.

Veterans honored with ‘American Heroes’ exhibition
