R. Kelly avoids lengthy add-on to 30-year prison sentence for Chicago conviction

A federal judge decided Thursday that R. Kelly should serve an additional year in prison for his child pornography conviction in Chicago last year, finally resolving the most serious criminal cases against the R&B superstar who is already serving 30 years behind bars.
