Off-duty pilot accused of trying to crash plane appears in court

Joseph Emerson is accused of trying to cut the fuel to an Alaska Airlines jet in midair. He could face up to 20 years in prison on the federal charge of interfering with a flight crew. Emerson also faces multiple attempted murder charges.
