Cook County commissioners address maternal health crisis

Cook County commissioners are working to improve maternal health outcomes and access to care. The Health and Hospitals Committee held a hearing on the maternal health crisis. Maternal mortality, or the rate at which women die from complications related to childbirth, worsened during the pandemic.
