Domestic violence shelters losing beds while demand spikes

The Howard Area Community Center in Rogers Park is seeing an increase in calls from survivors of domestic violence, and their supporters amid the pandemic. But overcrowded shelters, social-distancing and other pandemic issues are making it tougher to find safe havens for these individuals.
