CHICAGO - We're watching for possible freezing drizzle early today. Pavement and air temperatures are near or below freezing and any drizzle that falls may glaze untreated surfaces.
Highs will reach the upper 30s promoting melting later today. It will be rather windy.
Tonight looks dry with lows around freezing. Christmas Eve could have a sprinkle or flurry near the Illinois shore in the morning. No biggie.
The rest of the day will be milder with highs 40 degrees or more.
There’s a chance of rain late at night into Christmas but totals would be light if this materializes. Highs would be low 40s.
Even milder air arrives Thursday through the weekend with highs between 47-53. The downside (if ya like it warm) will be an almost daily chance for rain.
