As we head into the overnight hours, Chicagoans can expect mostly cloudy skies, with a slight risk of light freezing drizzle during the pre-dawn hours. 

While this isn't expected to be a major icing event, it’s always worth keeping an eye on as temperatures hover near 40 degrees.

  • Tonight: Lows near 40°
  • Monday: Highs near 40°, mostly cloudy with some rain and drizzle likely.
  • Christmas Eve (Monday): Cloudy skies and a high near 40°.
  • Christmas Day (Tuesday): A 25% chance of rain with above-average highs near 41°.
  • Thursday: Cloudy with a high of 46°.
  • Friday: A 40% chance of rain with a high of 46°.
  • Saturday: A milder 51° under mostly cloudy skies.
