We all live down wind - heard that before. It makes sense. Smoke from your neighbor burning trash can float through your bedroom window.
But now researchers are telling us that pollution from China is making it all the way to California!
The San Joaquin Valley is know for "trapping" pollutants in the atmosphere. But now it appears that as much as 10 percent of the ozone there (the main ingredient in smog) is coming from foreign countries, mostly on the other side of the Pacific Ocean!
The drought and dry weather in California is not helping. There has been a spike of days thick with soot and dirt. In fact, residents of the San Joaquin valley experience asthma at twice the rate of the rest of the State.
