13-year-old boy in critical condition after being shot in Little Italy

CHICAGO - A 13-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot in Little Italy Sunday afternoon.

At about 3:09 p.m., the boy was on the street in the 1100 block of West 13th Street when he was shot in the abdomen, police said.

He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

Area Three detectives are investigating.
