15-year-old girl shot in the head while riding in car was one of many victims in shooting rampage
CHICAGO - A 15-year-old girl was in critical condition Saturday after being shot on the South Side by a man who is now being blamed for three murders and other shootings on Saturday.
She was riding in the back seat of a car about 5 p.m. in the 10300 block of South Halsted Street when Jason Nightengale, 32, unleashed gunfire, Chicago police said.
The teen was struck in the head and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Nightengale is responsible for three random murders and other shootings in Chicago and Evanston, police said on Saturday night.
