16-year-old boy charged in 2020 carjacking in Lake Meadows

CHICAGO - A 16-year-old boy is facing charges in connection to a carjacking last year in Lake Meadows.

The teen was arrested Wednesday after he was identified as the person who forcibly took a 27-year-old woman’s vehicle Sept. 1 in the 500 block of East 33rd Place, Chicago police said.

He was charged with one count of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm, police said.
