16-year-old boy fired shots at man attacking woman inside Chicago home: police
CHICAGO - A 16-year-old boy shot a man who was allegedly attacking a woman inside a home in East Garfield Park on Wednesday night, according to Chicago police.
The incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. in the 3900 block of West Huron Street. Police said a 45-year-old man was physically assaulting a 40-year-old woman inside the residence when the teen, also inside the home, intervened by firing a gun at the man.
The man was struck in the lower back and taken to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
The teenager fled the scene following the shooting.
No arrests have been made, and Area Four detectives are investigating.
