2 Chicago cops injured after squad car crashes into tree in Marquette Park
CHICAGO - Two Chicago police officers were involved in a crash in the Marquette Park neighborhood Friday afternoon.
Around 2:40 p.m., officers were responding to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 7200 block of South Fairfield when they attempted to avoid striking another vehicle in traffic.
The officers lost control of the car and struck a tree, police said.

The two officers were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two offenders are in custody in connection to the stolen vehicle investigation.
