62-year-old woman shot while driving in Chicago

CHICAGO - A woman was shot while driving in Woodlawn Wednesday night.

Around 8:12 p.m., a 62-year-old woman was driving south in the 6100 block of South Cottage Grove when shots were fired, police said.

She was shot in the back and was taken to a nearby hospital in fair condition.

No suspects are in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating.
