4 in custody after standoff in Matteson ends
FOX 32 NEWS - After several hours, a standoff in south suburban Matteson has ended.
At one point, a nearby day care had to be put on lockdown.
It all began with a home invasion when four offenders robbed three people inside a home. Two of the suspect had guns and demanded money.
Police told FOX 32 the two groups knew each other.
Police tracked the suspects to another home about two blocks away. A SWAT team began negotiating with the suspects and eventually they came out of the house.
Upon leaving the home, one of the suspects dropped a bag on the front porch on the home, and that bag had a loaded gun inside.
