69-year-old fatally shot in South Side apartment building lobby

CHICAGO - A man was killed in a Grand Crossing shooting Wednesday afternoon.

At about 5:39 p.m., a 69-year-old man was inside an apartment building lobby in the 7600 block of South Drexel when he was shot multiple times in the body, police said.

He was transported to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition where he was later pronounced dead. 

Area Two detectives are investigating.
