Bicyclist killed in Rolling Meadows crash identified: police
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. - A bicyclist died Tuesday night after a crash involving a vehicle in Rolling Meadows, police said.
Officers responded to reports of a crash around 9:27 p.m. at the intersection of Rohlwing Road and Campbell Street. Upon arriving, they found the bicyclist lying in the roadway but still conscious.
The bicyclist was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. He has been identified as Patrick J. Houlihan, 41, of Rolling Meadows.
Initial reports indicated that the vehicle involved may have left the scene but returned shortly after. Police confirmed that the driver is cooperating with the investigation.
The incident remains under investigation by Rolling Meadows police.
