Boy, 17, charged in Marquette Park carjacking

CHICAGO - A teenage boy was charged in connection with an armed carjacking and robbery last October in the Marquette Park neighborhood.

The 17-year-old was arrested Tuesday in the 9600 block of South Bishop Street, according to police.

He was allegedly the suspect who robbed a 27-year-old of his belongings and vehicle at gunpoint on Oct. 21 in the 2500 block of West 64th Street.

The teen was charged with one count of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm and one count of armed robbery with a firearm, both felonies.
