Brookfield Zoo cuts 56 positions as facilities remain closed

BROOKFIELD, Ill. - Brookfield Zoo is cutting 56 full time positions as its facilities remain closed.
The zoo placed nearly a third of its staff on furlough in April.
Brookfield Zoo has been closed since March 19 due to the state's stay-at-home order.
A reopening date has not been announced.
