Buffalo Grove woman accused of sending nude photos to teen she met while working at juvenile detention center

LAKE COUNTY, Ill. - A Buffalo Grove woman was arrested this week after allegedly sending nude photos of herself to a 17-year-old boy.
Bayleigh Hoyt, 28, faces charges of official misconduct and distributing harmful material.
According to the Lake County Sheriff's Office, Hoyt met the 17-year-old boy while he was in custody at the Depke Juvenile Detention Facility in Lake County. At the time, she was employed at the facility as a juvenile counselor.
When the boy was discharged from the facility, the two began communicating with each other. At that time, Hoyt allegedly began having lewd conversations with the boy and sent nude photos of herself.
She then allegedly encouraged the teen to delete the messages and photos because she didn't want to get caught before resigning.
Shortly after, Hoyt resigned from the facility before law enforcement became aware of the situation, the sheriff's office said.
On Tuesday, an arrest warrant was approved for Hoyt, and she was taken into custody without incident.
She is being held in the Lake County Jail, pending her Wednesday court appearance.
