Car hits pole on SW Side, splits in half

CHICAGO (STMW) - No one was injured when a vehicle crashed into a pole and split in half Tuesday morning in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The single-vehicle crash happened at 23rd and Kedzie at 7:15 a.m., according to Chicago Police.

The vehicle struck a pole and split in half, but no injuries were reported.

The vehicle also struck a gas line and caused a minor gas leak, according to Fire Media Affairs.

CTA No. 52 Kedzie/California buses were rerouted in both directions in the area of the crash.
