Chicago-area teen wounded in Mexico shooting returns to U.S.

A Chicago-area teen is back on American soil after being shot and critically wounded in Mexico.

Jason Pena, 14, is being cared for in a Texas children's hospital. He was shot last Friday in the state of Durango while visiting family for the holidays.

His father, uncle, and another man were shot and killed. The U.S. State Department confirmed the shootings.

Jason is an eighth grader at Prairie-Hills Junior High School in Markham.
