Chicago crime: Homicide investigation underway after woman found dead inside building

A homicide investigation is underway in Englewood after a person was found dead inside a building Monday afternoon.

Police discovered the person around 4:10 p.m. in a building located in the 7000 block of South Normal Boulevard. The person was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not provide any additional information about the victim. 

No arrests have been made, and Area One detectives are leading the investigation.

The case has been classified as a homicide.
