Chicago's CTA offering free New Year's Eve rides in partnership with Miller Lite

The CTA is once again offering free rides on New Year's Eve to help Chicagoans celebrate safely as they ring in 2025.

Starting at 10 p.m. on Tuesday and continuing until 4 a.m. on Wednesday, all CTA trains and buses will be free to ride.

The Miller Lite Free Rides program has become a tradition in Chicago, encouraging responsible celebration and helping to reduce the risks associated with drinking and driving during the holiday.

For those traveling outside the free ride window, the CTA wants to remind passengers of their fare options. A 1-Day unlimited rides pass is available for $5. For extended holiday plans, a 3-Day pass is offered at $15.

Riders looking for more information about schedules and routes can visit the CTA's official website.
