Gage Park mass shooting: Reward offered for info on gunman who killed 3 men, wounded 5 others at party
CHICAGO - Authorities continue to search for the person or persons responsible for shooting eight people, killing three, at a party in Gage Park earlier this month.
The shooting unfolded on Dec. 2 around 2:10 p.m. in the 3500 block of West 59th Street.
Police said four men and four women, all Hispanic, and between the ages of 20 to 35, were among the victims. Three of the men died from their injuries.
Cook County Crime Stoppers identified the men as Hector Victor Miguel Sojo Vargas, Jhan Carlos Blanquissett and Osmer Angel Ferrer Oria.

All the victims were shot inside the home while a social gathering was taking place, police said.
Additional shooting details, according to CPD
- Victim #1, an adult male sustained gunshot wounds to the head, chest, right thigh, and right wrist and was transported to Christ Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
- Victim #2, a 26-year-old male, sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was pronounced on scene.
- Victim #3, an adult male, sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was pronounced on scene.
- Victim #4, a 25-year-old male, sustained a gunshot wound to his left thigh and was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital in good condition.
- Victim #5, a 27-year-old female, sustained one gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
- Victim #6, a 31-year-old male, was shot in the abdomen and self-transported to UI Health Hospital where he is listed in good condition.
- Victim #7, a 21-year-old female, sustained one gunshot wound to her groin and self-transported to UI Health Hospital where she is listed in good condition.
- Victim #8, a 24-year-old female, sustained two gunshot wounds to her shoulder, and one gunshot wound each to her right hip, right thigh, left hip, and left thigh. She was transported to The University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition.
The Cook County CrimeStoppers and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) are offering a joint reward of up to $20,000 for the positive identification, location and apprehension of those involved in this mass shooting.
"This is a tragic crime, brazen and unthinkable to have occurred in the middle of the afternoon much less during the holiday season," said ATF Special Agent in Charge Christopher Amon of the Chicago Field Division. "We are dedicated to working closely with our law enforcement partners and CrimeStoppers to locate those responsible and are also appealing to the public to assist in their identification."
