Chicago man arrested nearly a month after allegedly robbing man at gunpoint

Demarko Jackson, 28

A Chicago man was arrested this week, nearly a month after robbing a man at gunpoint in the city's Chatham neighborhood, police said.

Demarko Jackson, 28, faces one felony count of armed robbery with a firearm, one felony count of aggravated unlawful use of a loaded weapon (no FOID) and three felony counts of resisting or obstructing a peace officer.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Nov. 18, when Jackson allegedly robbed a 32-year-old man at gunpoint in the 7500 block of Cottage Grove Avenue.

Police arrested Jackson on Monday in the 7600 block of South Halsted Street and charged him accordingly.

His detention hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
