Chicago man arrested one month after deadly Washington Park shooting
CHICAGO - A suspect is in custody after Chicago police say he shot and killed a man in his Washington Park apartment one month ago.
Carlos Reinaldo Maribal-Carvajal, 24, is charged with:
- One felony count of first-degree murder
- One felony count of conceal homicidal death
- One felony count of robbery - armed with firearm
- One misdemeanor count of murder - other forcible felony
He was arrested Dec. 11 in the 5800 block of South Maryland Avenue after being identified as the suspect in the Nov. 11 shooting of a 30-year-old man in the 6100 block of South Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, according to Chicago police.
The victim's identity hasn't been released.
Maribal-Carvajal is scheduled to appear in court for a detention hearing on Dec. 14.
