Chicago Ridge crash: Driver hospitalized after slamming into Dollar Tree store

CHICAGO RIDGE, Ill. - A driver is hospitalized after crashing their car into a Dollar Tree store in Chicago Ridge on Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened just after 12:30 p.m. in the 9900 block of South Ridgeland Avenue.

Police said the driver was disoriented following the crash and was taken to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment of minor injuries.

No one inside the store was injured, and aside from broken windows at the entrance, no other damage was reported.

Authorities said the store will remain closed until further notice.
