Chicago State is set to announce the creation of an exploratory committee to look at the potential for expanding its sports program.

CHICAGO - Chicago State is set to announce the creation of an exploratory committee to look at the potential for expanding its sports program.

An official announcement is set for Thursday.

The school is looking to create a football team and add to its women's sports programs.

The committee will be made up of faculty, community leaders, students and strategic partners.
