One Chicago suburb is close to allowing chicken coops in backyards.

The Mundelein Board pushed the proposal forward Monday but struck down one part of it.

People will not be required to put up signs that say they have chickens.

A final vote is expected later this month.

If approved, only 20 licenses would be given out in the first year and they will cost $100.
