Chicago police search for man who allegedly kicked, punched another man after argument

The Chicago Police Department is searching for a man who allegedly battered another man in the West Loop last month.

What we know:

The incident occurred on Dec. 15, 2024, around 8:30 p.m. in the 200 block of North Peoria Street.

According to police, the suspect approached a man after an argument and began to punch and kick him while he was on the ground, causing serious injury to his eye.

The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Police said the offender is a white Hispanic man between the ages of 20 and 35. He is approximately 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-11 and weighs between 170 and 200 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a tan-colored hoodie over a white t-shirt, dark pants and white with black shoes.

He also has dark short hair with a mustache and a beard.

What we don't know:

The circumstances surrounding the argument are currently unknown.
