Chicago teen accused of carjacking, armed robbery in Gage Park

An 18-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with a carjacking and two armed robberies in the city’s Gage Park neighborhood on Sunday.

Cameron White, of Chicago, was arrested just hours after he allegedly took personal property at gunpoint from a 28-year-old man in the 5300 block of South Campbell Avenue, Chicago police said.

He was also charged in connection with the carjacking of a 44-year-old man that night in the 5400 block of South Spaulding Avenue.

Police found White and arrested him shortly before 10 p.m. on Sunday. He was charged with vehicular hijacking and two counts of robbery armed with a firearm.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
