Chicago weather: Dense fog kicks off week
CHICAGO - The Chicago area opens today with a Dense Fog Advisory until 11 a.m. There will be some ups and downs with visibility through the morning.
In addition to the fog and drizzle, there are a few showers mainly in northwest Indiana as of this writing. Any additional morning rain will be spotty at most.
The rest of the day will be cloudy but quite mile with highs of 50+ likely. Tonight will be mostly cloudy and breezy at times with lows around freezing.
Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy and not as mild but still warmer than normal with highs around 40. Tomorrow night presents an opportunity for some light snow-mainly late into early Wednesday morning. This would be less than an inch and probably more like a coating-favoring our northern counties.
The rest of Wednesday will be mainly cloudy with highs in the mid 30s. Thursday will have similar temps and a chance of snow at night again into Friday morning. Not a biggie.
