‘Good Night Chicago’ delivers relief to unsheltered homeless this winter with Backpack Beds

Good Night Chicago is providing relief to the city's unsheltered homeless population this winter by distributing Backpack Beds.

The effort aims to save lives during the harsh winter months while also reducing millions in public costs tied to emergency healthcare and services.

Around 10 a.m. Friday, the CEO of Backpack Bed, Tony Clark, along with local community leaders, including Rev. Michael Pfleger, will gather at Taylor Street Tap for a demonstration of the Backpack Bed's life-saving design.

Good Night Chicago, an initiative that unites community advocates, said funding has been secured to provide Backpack Beds for more than 25% of its unsheltered homeless population this winter.

Backpack Bed for Homeless, which has earned seven international design awards, partners with over 1,000 agencies globally to address homelessness.
