Chicago's 'tamale guy' hospitalized with COVID-19

A popular Chicago restaurant owner known for his tamales has been hospitalized with COVID-19.

Claudio Velez, "the tamale guy," is in the ICU on a ventilator, according to Block Club Chicago.

Valez has been seeling tamales out of his trademark red cooler for almost two decades.

He opened his first brick and mortar restaurant just a few weeks ago in the Ukrainian Village.
