Child burned when boat catches fire on Nippersink Lake in Lake County

NIPPERSINK LAKE, Illinois - A child was burned when a boat caught fire on Nippersink Lake in Lake County on Sunday.
A Fox Lake Fire Protection official said the fire started around 2:15 p.m.

There were four people on board, and all of them jumped off and made it to shore.
The child was hospitalized for burn injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
