Child critically injured in Bronzeville crash

CHICAGO (STMW) - A child was critically injured and four other people were hurt in a Bronzeville neighborhood traffic crash Saturday afternoon on the South Side.

Crews responded about 1:45 p.m. to the pin-in crash near 48th Street and Indiana Avenue, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

The child suffered traumatic injuries and was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in serious-to-critical condition, fire officials said.

Four other people were taken to hospitals in fair-to-serious condition, officials said.

Chicago Police did not immediately have more details on the crash.
