Shooting on Chicago’s West Side leaves man wounded

A 24-year-old man was shot and wounded Wednesday afternoon on Chicago’s West Side.

The man was traveling in a car in the 1200 block of North Cicero Avenue around 2:25 p.m. when his car was struck by gunfire, Chicago police said.

An unknown gunman in a dark-colored SUV fired multiple gunshots in the victim’s direction.

The victim was shot in his left hand. He took himself to West Suburban Medical Center where he was listed in good condition.

No offenders were in custody. 

Area detectives are investigating the shooting.
