Connie's frozen cheese pizzas recalled in 3 states, including Illinois: Here's what to know
CHICAGO - Palermo Villa, Inc. is recalling 1,728 Connie’s Thin Crust Cheese Frozen Pizzas after discovering they might contain a plastic foreign contaminant.
The affected pizzas, which were distributed to grocery stores in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin, have a best-by date of Nov. 27, 2024.
While the product has already expired and is no longer on store shelves, the recall is being issued as a precaution in case consumers still have the pizzas in their freezers.
Here’s how to identify the recalled pizzas:
- Product: Connie’s Thin Crust Cheese Pizza (20.36 oz)
- Lot Number: MR199856
- GTIN: 007570619104
- Best By Date: Nov. 27, 2024
- Item Number: 19104
- Establishment Number: 13410325396
The company said all other products produced outside those lot numbers are safe for consumption.
If you have one of the affected pizzas, don’t eat it. Instead, throw it away or return it to the store where you bought it for a refund. So far, no injuries or illnesses linked to the recalled pizzas have been reported.
