Guns recovered after speeding vehicle sideswipes Chicago police car

CHICAGO - A vehicle sideswiped a CPD squad car and crashed into two parked cars Tuesday morning in the Jefferson Park neighborhood.

The Toyota sedan was speeding when it clipped the police car around 2 a.m. in the 5100 block of West Sunnyside Avenue, according to CPD. The sedan continued and crashed into two parked cars before coming to a stop.

Four people fled the sedan and two handguns were recovered from the car.

Police said no arrests have been made.
