CPD, Israel Idonije team up for 'Shop With a Cop'

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Chicago police have been feeling a lot of heat in recent months because of a long list of issues involving the department. But former Chicago Bears star Israel Idonije is involved in a great program to help improve understanding between police and the communities they serve.

Idonije and CPD hosted their annual “Shop with a Cop” event Thursday afternoon. The event brings underserved youth in temporary housing situations and cops together for a day of shopping, pizza, and activities.
