CTA bus rider shot with paintball gun in Lincoln Park

A man was shot with a paintball gun during an argument on a CTA bus Monday night in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.

The 38-year-old was arguing with another bus rider around 9:30 p.m. when they pulled out a paintball gun and shot it several times, striking the victim in the back of the head in the 1300 block of West Fullerton Avenue, police said.

Paramedics took the victim to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was listed in fair condition.

No arrests have been made, and no other injuries were reported.

Area Three detectives are investigating.
