CTA Green Line passenger stabbed, robbed in West Garfield Park; suspects sought: police

A CTA Green Line train passenger was robbed and stabbed in West Garfield Park and Chicago police are asking for the public's help to identify the suspects.

The incident happened just before 9 p.m., Dec. 14, 2024, in the 4000 block of West Lake, according to Chicago police. 

Two suspects, a man and a woman, approached the passenger on the train and got into a verbal altercation, which escalated into a physical fight. The male suspect then stabbed the victim, police said.

The victim’s wallet was taken by other suspects who were wearing masks, according to authorities. 

Authorities haven't released further details on the victim's condition following the stabbing. 

The male suspect is 18-19 years old, has long dreadlocks, and was wearing a black t-shirt, light-colored jeans, and white gym shoes, police said. The female suspect is described as 16-18 years old with long curly hair and wearing a black jacket, black pants, and black and white Nike gym shoes.

No arrests have been made.
