Derrick Rose to open pop-up flower shop in downtown Chicago

Former Bulls star Derrick Rose will open a one-day flower shop Thursday in downtown Chicago

The hometown phenom announced on social media that Rose's Flower Shop will be open for one-day only at 350 N. State St., in the Loop.

The flower shop's hours will run from noon to 4 p.m. The line will be cut off once the shop reaches capacity.

Rose's Flower Shop will have delivery options that are limited to a 15-mile radius. No details have been given about the shop's inventory.

Rose, the former Bulls MVP, announced his retirement from professional basketball in September. Rose was drafted first overall by his hometown Chicago Bulls in 2008. He quickly ascended to superstardom, winning Rookie of the Year in 2009.

In 2011, he became the youngest player in NBA history to win the MVP award at just 22 years old. Known for his explosive athleticism, quickness, and ability to finish at the rim, Rose was considered one of the most dynamic players in the league during his prime.
