A dumpster truck crashed and flooded Lower Wacker Drive with 80 gallons of diesel fuel Thursday morning.

About 5:10 a.m., the truck rammed into a barrier on the loading dock for the Willis Tower, 233 S. Wacker Drive, according to the Chicago Fire Department and Chicago police.

No one was injured, but the impact punctured the truck’s diesel fuel tank, spilling 80 gallons of diesel fuel and prompting a Level 1 HazMat response, authorities said. The area was secured as of 7 a.m.

Lower Wacker Drive was shut off for about two hours near Adams Street as crews worked to clean up the mess.
