Domestic-related shooting reported in Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, Ill. - One person was wounded in a domestic-related shooting Sunday night in suburban Brookfield.

Brookfield village officials said the shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of Custer Avenue. One victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately clear.

Village officials said the suspect is not believed to still be in the area and "there is no public safety concern."
