Suspect in custody after man dies in Douglas shooting

CHICAGO - A 20-year-old man was shot in the head and killed Tuesday night on Chicago's South Side.

Around 7:18 p.m., police say Jeremian Pruckler, 20, was inside a residence in the 2900 block of S. State St. when he was struck in the head by gunfire.

Pruckler was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital in critical condition, police said. He was later pronounced dead at 7:56 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office. 

One man was arrested, but charges have not been announced by police. The investigation is ongoing.
